New Haven's Neighborhood Music School

New Haven’s Neighborhood Music School, located Downtown, has made a huge investment into the hearts and minds of our youth. Today, over 3,000 New Haven residents attend this fine arts academy to develop their skills in music and fine arts; specifically, instruction in 30 instruments,

Suzuki instruction, and voice, a dance program featuring Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern, and Salsa, youth & adult drama classes.

The Neighborhood Music School is the largest independent not-for-profit community arts schoolin Connecticut, being established in 1911 as part of the settlement house movement to assist New Haven's new and growing immigrant population and becoming an independent, non-profit corporationin 1950.

With the recent expansion and renovations, more services are being provided for more students.
